MY name is Amandine, a French nursing student from Le Mans.

When I started my nursing studies two years ago I hoped to make a training period in an English hospital to improve my English, so I would be able to take care of English patients in France.

I chose your town because of your Twinning Association with Le Mans. I have spent a very interesting period in your NHS Royal Bolton Hospital for the past four weeks, and stayed with a very nice family.

Today is the last day of my stay in your town, and I think my English has improved and I am confident that I would be able to take care of English patients in a French hospital. So my goals are reached!

I would like to thank the Bolton Twinning Association for finding me this placement and accommodation. It was a pleasure to be here, with special thanks to Michael Tatman, who helped me with dynamism and kindness, and to Michael and Zonya Marsh for welcoming me into their home.

I also wish to send my thanks to the staff of F6 Ward and the Accident and Emergency Department for all their kindness, confidence in my ability, and patience. Thank you, Bolton, see you soon. Au revoir.
