VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a research project into Pagets disease.
Dr Keatley Adams, a consultant physician at The Royal Bolton Hospital, is carrying out the study into Pagets, which is a thickening of the bones. He has already recruited 36 patients but needs a total of 80.
The condition is most common in Lancashire than anywhere else in England and this country has the most Pagets patients than anywhere else in the World.
The project is being funded by the Arthritis Research Campaign and 42 hospitals around the country will be taking part.
