A THIEF threatened to stab a man then stole his money.
The 28-year-old was approached in Spring Lane, Radcliffe at 10.30am on Wednesday.
The thief asked him to help him carry a cardboard box but grabbed him by the throat and threatened him with a knife as he bent down to pick it up. He then forced him to hand over a small amount of cash.
Police said the victim was left shaken but unhurt and appealed for witnesses.
