FIREFIGHTERS spent several hours at a paper mill checking for burning embers following a fire. Crews were called to Charles Turner Paper Works, in Belmont Road, Bromley Cross, in the early hours after the motor on a tissue making machine caught fire. The flames spread to dust and fibres in the roof. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to ensure they had put out every spark.
