work is starting to resurface part of the M6 with a new road coating made of nearly 14m recycled glass bottles.
A two-and-a-half-mile section of the motorway from Knutsford to Holmes Chapel is to be replaced after years of pounding by over 40m vehicles a year.
The £6m scheme will last for 12 weeks -- work should be completed by the August bank holiday.
The road will still be open during the day, reducing to one lane at night between 10pm and 6am.
