BUS and rail passengers are being warned about possible delays in Manchester city centre on Wednesday when Old Trafford plays host to the UEFA Champions League final.

It is expected that more than 50,000 fans will converge on the city centre before the final between the Italian sides AC Milan and Juventus. Transport bosses are warning people to expect some delays and diversions.

Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to check details of their proposed journeys in advance and those leaving or entering the city centre should consider making their journey earlier or later than usual or using alternative routes.
