A PENSIONER is seriously ill in hospital after a road accident in Manchester city centre.
The 73-year-old, from Breightmet, suffered a broken pelvis, a broken leg and cuts and bruises in the accident on Trinity Way.
A police spokesman said the pensioner was in a Fiat Cinquecento when he was involved in an accident with a new registered Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 29 year old man from Derby.
The pensioner was taken to North Manchester General Hospital for treatment.
