ASTLEY and Tyldesley pro Bashid Khan was not going to miss out on the chance of a century after being foiled 24 hours earlier.

The all-rounder was left at the wicket on Saturday after hitting 92 not out in his side's total of 115 and he made Sunday's opponents Edgworth pay for that by hitting an unbeaten 121 not out in A & T's 192-6.

He then picked up four wickets for 45 while Steve Walsh chipped in with 3-19 but it was not enough to ensure a win, Edgworth hanging on at 74-9 to claim the draw.

Dexter Fitton picked up his second half century of the weekend with 67 and with Chris Reed giving him support with 33, Elton were able to score a total of 185.

Darcy never looked like being able to match that as Mark Goddard troubled the batsmen throughout the innings and his 6-35 was the main contributing factor as Darcy were dismissed for 99.

Clifton then knocked off the runs in quick time, Griffiths completing a good all round performance with an unbeaten 35 in a nine wickets win.

Little Hulton came out on top after a thrilling finish at Adlington. Defending a modest total of 132, in which pro Ijaz 36 and Mark Lee 31 were the main contributors, they successfully halted an Adlington fightback and won by the narrow margin of seven runs.

It had looked a lot easier when Adlington were reduced to 40-5 but Mark Halliwell 30 and Eddie Haddon 29 put on a partnership of 59 to put them in a possible winning position at 99-6, only to lose their remaining wickets cheaply.

Andy Sutherland 5-14 and Mark Penny 4-56 did most of the damage while Adlington pro Matthew Taylor earlier took 5-55.

Daisy Hill moved off the bottom of the table thanks to a winning draw over Blackrod. Pro Neil Bannister's 56 and Howard Brookes 58 were the backbone of their all out total of 162, Fairbrother picking up 6-79, while Jack Southworth's 38 and Gary Speak's 28 not out helped Blackrod to finish the game at 125-7, Daisy Hill skipper Andy Cumberbatch taking 4-61.

Batting first, Standish were all out for 103, Atherton pro Diawakar taking5-42, Ian Nuttall 3-41 and David Baines 2-12. In reply, West guided Atherton to their winning total, Standish pro Chris Humphries finishing with 2-29 and Steve Knowles 2-33.
