COULD I please say a big thank you to all my elderly father's carers, especially those who care for him at home on a daily basis.
Sincere thanks also to Alison and the staff at the Winifred Kettle Centre, Westhoughton. They all do a fantastic job, carers at home, respite care, day care, ,and carers on the bus. These are unsung heroes.
In these days of cuts and changes, I've really appreciated the "carers' meetings" at the centre. A lot of planning goes into these "Care for the Carers" too.
These local "celebrities" are very much appreciated by everyone who has need of them and sees their level of dedication.
