IN response to the letter by V Davies, May 13, I request the opportunity to justify my first criticism of the postal vote. Although I have lived in the Czech Republic for some time, I lived in Bolton, worked and paid very high taxes for more than 40 years.

Yes, I STILL pay UK tax and, as a British Citizen, am fully entitled to vote in the UK until, that is, this Government decides to take that right away as well.

As for complaining, have YOU tried contacting the Town Hall?

Let's get back to polling booths and the old-fashioned pencil and paper.
