A STUDY commissioned by the council has found that more should be done to protect the historic city of Chester from serious fire.
The report was undertaken after the Bridge Street fire in 2001, which cost the city's insurers several million pounds.
It says that another fire would spread quickly through the city's ancient wooden framed structures. Chester Fire Brigade will review every historic property to improve safety.
