A GIANT living room is being set in the middle of Manchester to try to clinch a world record.
Amstel, sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, will be staging the stunt on Tuesday and Wednesday in the build-up to the Champions League final being held at Old Trafford between AC Milan and Juventus.
The attempt to build the "Biggest Living Room on Earth" will be staged in Albert Square. Gigantic pieces of furniture and other living room essentials will create the meeting place for fans. The living room also includes a giant 32m sq TV.
Simon Green, senior brand manager for Amstel at Heineken UK, said: "This is a really unique experience, which we hope fans will come and enjoy. We look forward to welcoming fans here and are sure this will generate a buzz across the city."
