A COUNCILLOR has raised concerns over the future of the redundant Bellhouse Hartwell factory on Leigh Road, Daisy Hill.
Westhoughton councillor Janet Halliwell has asked a Bolton Council planning officer what progress has been made on protecting parts of the site.
She said: "We need to see the mill lodge, stream and the large number of trees protected if housing is allowed for this site."
A spokesperson for Bolton Planning Department informed Westhoughton council that a development planning brief had been made to protect the sensitive parts of the site.
