PLANS to be build six apartments on Church Street, Westhoughton, have been refused by Westhoughton Town Council.
The application for the site of the former Church of Nazarene was refused on the grounds that the access should not be from the main road, but through the new housing estate on the site of Victoria Mill because of traffic dangers on Church Street.
The town council also felt that the large building was of an inappropriate design against the adjacent properties.
