A 78-YEAR-OLD woman badly injured in a head on smash at Atherton, is still in intensive care at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The woman who has not been named, was driving a Corsa car at Lovers Lane, Atherton, when she was involved in a collision with a Peugeot car driven by a man in his 30s from the Manchester area. He suffered a broken leg.
The accident happened on Friday morning and the road was closed for several hours.
