RANGERS defender Arthur Numan could be set for a summer switch to Bolton Wanderers.

The 33-year-old Dutch left back's days are numbered at Ibrox and the Reebok Stadium is being tipped as his most likely destination.

Numan is out of contract and is resigned to leaving Rangers after five years after failing to agree terms on a new contract.

There is bound to be interest from a number of clubs but his agent suggested Wanderers are in a strong position if they want him.

Juup Korevaar claims Bolton are at the head of the queue to recruit his player and confirmed Numan would be interested in playing in the Premiership at the Reebok next season.

"Bolton are interested in Arthur," Korevaar said.

"But he will not speak to anyone until after the Kilmarnock game."

"Arthur would be interested in the Premiership as it is one of the best leagues in the world," Korevaar added.

"Arthur is concentrating on winning the league for Rangers and after that he will think about his future.

"I still think PSV could come in for him but Bolton is an interesting option and there are other clubs looking at him as well."

Numan has been regarded as one of the best players in the world in his position in the past and played in the World Cup in 1998 and European Championship two years later.

He built his reputation at Dutch side Haarlem where he was converted from a left winger to a left back by Dick Advocaat who he has played for at three different clubs, including Rangers.

Numan blossomed into a Dutch international and enjoyed huge success under Advocaat at PSV Eindhoven, winning the Dutch league and cup double in 1996.

After six years with the Dutch giants he signed for Rangers for £4.5 million weeks after playing in the 1998 World Cup and three years ago he played one game for Holland in the Euro 2000, the quarter final 6-1 victory over Yugoslavia.
