A FESTIVAL starts later promising 11 days of flamboyant entertainment and cultural events with a "European twist".
Manchester's Festival Europa centres around the Spring Bank Holiday weekend and Uefa Champions League Final.
High wire antics and acrobats will help its launch at an "outdoor theatre" spectacular in the Cathedral Gardens.
Among the events planned are the largest celebration of dance ever staged in the city plus a Eurovision party at the BBC's Big Screen.
