POLICE are hunting for two robbers after a "terrifying" attack on an elderly woman in her home.
Two men posing as plain clothes police pushed the woman, aged 76, to the floor and gagged her with a pair of socks and a scarf to muffle her cries for help.
The woman, from Errwood Road, Burnage, Manchester, did not need hospital treatment but is said to be "terrified".
"This was a despicable and scandalous attack on an elderly woman in her own home," said DC Ian Hynes.
