THE DUKE will visit Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool later as a £10m cancer care unit officially opens.
The facility is the first of its kind in the UK for children and has been entirely funded by donations to the hospital's Rocking Horse Appeal.
Sophie Render, aged seven, will perform the opening. She underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant at Alder Hey to help her beat leukaemia.
The Duke will be alongside her, and they will both bury a time capsule.
