I WOULD like to reply to Mr Peter Clements. Desperate for power, the Labour Party turned to Tony Blair.

As Labour voters, we were forced to change our vote, or hope that all would turn out fine. Well, I don't think it did. In my opinion Blair should be brought before an international court to answer for his actions. So should Bush and Saddam Hussein, and everyone else in this sorry mess.

Whereas Saddam is to pay with either his life or eternal jail, both Blair and Bush will strut around saying they were right and all is well with the world. Give 'em a Nobel Peace Prize, why don't you?

Whereas I asked the simple question about how many children had died while the Inspectors were in Iraq, (in my naive way, I assumed one of our MPs would supply the answer!), you are willing to estimate future losses. Guesses aren't good enough when we're talking about children's lives, Mr Clements.

If anyone has slept soundly during this war, then they are a better person than I am. I am sick and tired of people telling me how noble this cause is. Yes, Saddam is responsible for the deaths of many people. But woman, children and other innocents are dying now. Bush, Blair, and their supporters are responsible for the deaths of the people who die under their bombs. They cannot pass that on to Saddam. You perpetuate the idea that the end justifies the means -- well it doesn't!

I said the fate of Iraq needs international consensus. It does, but I didn't include the people of Iraq. For that omission, I would like to apologise to them, but I do note that at no point did you mention the rights of the people. I assume this was a mistake, too. Although, with your gung-ho attitude to other people's lives, I'm not too sure.
