NORTH-west Euro MP Chris Davies is calling for the Government to rethink cannabis laws.
His comments follow the publication of a report suggesting smaller scale penalties for people growing their own supplies of the drug at home.
The proposals have been put forward by social policy research group, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
The former Liverpool councillor says the move would draw a line between the use of hard and soft drugs.
