ROADWORKS on the M62 in Greater Manchester will continue over the busy Easter bank holiday weekend.

Motorists have been warned to expect delays -- despite a pledge by the Highways Agency to try to reduce congestion over Easter.

The agency, which maintains Britatin's motorways, has promised to try to keep as many lanes open as possible during the holiday period.

It also pledged to suspend work on some of its repair programmes to make life easier for travellers.

But maintenance work affecting eat and westvound traffic between junctions 18 and 20 on the M62 will continue.
