REAL Madrid showed the whole of Europe how playing football the right way can get the results as they trounced Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-final.

I am extremely proud to say that, even though it is at a different level with players of a lesser quality, Wanderers are taking the same approach to Premiership survival.

How many teams in the history of Premiership football have played such attractive football when faced with the drop?

You only have to listen to commentators in the media who constantly use words such as "passion" and "commitment" to describe the likes of Birmingham , Sunderland and West Brom. These are the only positive things you can say about those sides.

In comparison - how many relegation threatened teams play a 4-3-3 formation? How many managers at a struggling side would take a full-back on loan from Paris St Germain and turn him into a forward, as Sam Allardyce has with Bernard Mendy?

Wanderers have a great philosophy towards the game, and very few players in the whole of Europe can compete with Youri Djorkaeff and Jay-Jay Okocha for entertainment.

I really think Wanderers have done themselves proud this season and results vindicate Sam's attitude.
