VERNON Kay hopes Wanderers will stay in the Premiership.
But the Bolton-born TV presenter believes that Big Sam's survival squad face a battle to build up their fan base.
He said: "When they take the club mascot Lofty the Lion to primary schools, they're fighting a losing battle -- two thirds of the kids are already wearing Manchester United or Liverpool shirts."
