DOBBIES A retained the top spot in Division One of the BSF Over 35s after a hard fought victory over their B team.

Davenport opened the scoring for the losers but two goals from Moore and another from Whittaker secured the points for the A team

Pennington kept the pressure on with a good 3-1 away win at Colliers Rest, a result that leaves Colliers rooted to the foot of the table

Stand Athletic had an impressive 5-0 victory over Cross Keys to retain third spot and leave the losers facing a relegation battle

Turton's game against Breightmet United was lost to the weather, as were all the Division Two games

In the Third Division, Bottom Bulls Head moved to the topafter a battling 3-3 draw at home to Rumworth & Hulton, but they needed a late own goal to grab a share of the points after Rumworth had squandered a 3-1 lead.

Old Smithillians moved up a couple of places after goals from Hart, Hobson and Campbell earned them a 3-1 victory over Dobbies C.

Urmston MC lost out 4-2 at home to Walkden AFC, which leaves Urmston propping up the three divisions, and lifted Walkden up to fourth place

Ainsworth Fossils v Founders Arms and Westhoughton Wingates v DF Lostock were both victims of the poor weather.
