Horwich RMI Harriers athletes produced a number of good performances in the North of England cross-country championships at Heaton Park, Manchester.
Rachel Thompson continued her excellent season by finishing ninth out of 84 finishers in the under 17s girls event run over 4.5K, while Kirsty Milner did well to come 19th in the under15 girls with Jenny Abbott 23rd in the under 20s race.
Top Horwich lady in the 8k event was Janet Rashleigh in 36th place out of 241 finishers, with Suzanne Budgett (57th) and Gaynor Higson (75th ) also doing well.
Neil Wrigley was first Horwich man in the senior men's 12K race.
