A NEW children's nursery could be built in Walkden, if Salford planning chiefs agree.
Under the proposals, to be discussed at a meeting on Thursday, a new single storey nursery and adjoining car park for 11 spaces would be built at the junction of Kingsley Road and Granville Street, opposite Walkden shopping centre.
A new access road will also be built.
The nursery will be available to new born children up to the age of seven.
Salford councillors will discuss the plans at a meeting due to be held on Thursday. They have been recommended for approval despite 10 letters of objection being received.
