Entitled to privacy
WHY do schools persist with the idea of "communal showering" after PE and games? My son finds the idea highly distressing and humiliating.
He worries about having to shower with all the others and the stress of this situation is having an effect on his confidence. Why do schools find the need to humiliate children with communal showering? Developing children are very conscious of their bodies, and such showering can only have a negative effect. I accept the need for hygiene, but wouldn't individual showering booths be a better option?
