This aerial picture of Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, was taken in June, 1950.
The caption at the time read: "It has been stated that trees will not grow on Lever Edge Lane, but in this view, which included the new Primary School, it will be noticed that there are trees."
As far as I can see, few and far between . . .
