ALTHOUGH England's draw against Macedonia was a big disappointment, the low point of the week for me, on a purely financial basis, was England's win in Slovakia - Michael Owen's winner cost me £250,000 as the whole country piled on an England win.

We're back to normal this weekend with an interesting Premiership programme. On Saturday, City entertain Chelsea while United travel to Fulham, while Bolton face a tricky trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday. As a keen supporter of local football, I'll give you £250 for a tenner treble on our local premiership teams (Bolton, City and United to win).

Everybody's going on about Arsenal being unbeatable and I've been filled in at all rates from 25/1 down to 10/1 for the Gunners to remain undefeated in the Premiership this season. Everton are the gunners' opponents on Saturday and after the scare they gave United last week I can see them giving Arsenal a game, even though they're 4/1 on my coupon.

Liverpool play Leeds and you can have £1500 for your tenner if there's a repeat of the Leeds 4-3 victory in 2000. I'll offer you 5/1 for my nemesis Michael Owen to score the first goal.

Old Trafford plays host to the Superleague Grand Final on Saturday, with a repeat of the 1999 Final between St Helens and Bradford who defeated Saints 28-26 a fortnight ago at Knowsley Road in a classic encounter and it will be very close again, so close in fact that my odds compiler can't split them, we'll leave it up to you. Saints will rely on Man of Steel Paul Scunthorope

to provide the inspiration and he's available at 14/1 to score the first try, while the Bulls look to their massive pack to dominate, veteran hooker Jimmy Lowes is 20/1 to score first.
