EX-Conservative Minister Edwina Currie is due to visit the region to meet 12 young people who have been short-listed for achievement awards.
The group were nominated for the Merseyside and Cheshire Young Achievers Awards and their success in the arts, learning, management and sport.
The money raised from the Young Achievers Awards will go towards the children's charity NCH.
They hope the event will raise more than £20,000.
