CITY chiefs in Liverpool are celebrating National Adoption Week by releasing 45 giant balloons.
The balloons, which are being launched from St George's Plateau, represent the 45 children who have been adopted in the city this year.
The event is to encourage people to become adopters. There are 12 children waiting for new homes in Liverpool.
