COMEDIAN Les Dennis was on hand to present the trophy when a Little Lever jeweller won a top award.
Howarth Jewellers in Market Street was the winner of the alternative retailer category -- for its website www.jewellers.net -- in the annual UK Jewellery awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.
Mike Howarth, who has developed the successful website, made an acceptance speech.
He said today: "I thanked all our staff who work extremely hard in processing the orders and I obviously thanked all the judges who are made up of the UK's premier jewellery companies."
The trophy is on display at the shop in Little Lever.
