A PENSIONER cooking food on the grill sparked a fire alert.
The woman had left the grill on at her flat in Rushey Fold Court, Halliwell, at 9.30am yesterday. Firefighters put out the blaze and used a fan to blow smoke out of the building and there was slight smoke damage to the kitchen.
