A HORSE was rescued after its back legs became stuck in mud in Irlam. Cyril, aged five, became lodged in a ditch at the back of Cherry Tree Farm. Fire crews from Leigh and Irlam pulled the horse free with help from a farmer and his tractor at 6.30pm yesterday.
