CHORLEY stepped up their pre-season preparations with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Atherton Collieries at the weekend.
Trialist Paul Smith scored twice and Darren Emmett bagged the other as the Magpies comfortably defeated their North West Counties League neighbours.
