A LEIGH teenager is a Commonwealth winner before the Games begin.
Jay Bailey, 14, has won a pair of tickets in a competition run by Passport 2K in conjunction with games sponsors, United Utilities.
He said: "I am very excited about going to the Games. It will be a fantastic experience and definitely something to remember."
Passport 2K activities will be taking place in the North-west throughout the summer and any 11-18 year old can take part. Further details are available from Susan Hidgkinson on 0161 237 2044.
