This picture of the Blackrod Wesleyan School has been sent to me by Mrs Barbara Foster (nee Buckle), of Station Road, Blackrod. She tells me that in the 1940 class picture - click HERE and look for "LB blackrod wes.jpg" - she is the girl in a blazer on the left of the middle row.
The teacher was Mrs Pearce.
The school is now demolished, and new housing is on the site, but the nearby Methodist Chapel still stands.
