THE Duke of Edinburgh will visit Bolton during the Commonwealth Games.
Prince Philip will be at the Bolton Arena on July 26, the day after the Games start.
He will watch a heat of the badminton tournament before travelling to Heaton Park, near Prestwich.
The visit forms part of the Golden Jubilee tour by The Queen and the Duke, during which she will open and close the Manchester Games.
Prince Philip will visit Bolton after a tour of Sportscity, where the City of Manchester Stadium is based.
Bolton Arena is hosting badminton for all of the Games's 10 days, while cycling is being held at Rivington.
