ATHERTON have signed a replacement for dismissed professional Greg Dimery.
He is Mihir Diwakar, a 20 year old medium fast right arm bowler from India, whose best first class bowling figures are 7-47 with a top score of 86. In limited overs he has 20 wickets from 82 overs for an average of 24.
He is likely to make his debut in the weekend game against Edgworth after arriving in this country as part of an Air India touring party.
That team was due to play a friendly against an Astley Bridge XI today.
