INOTICE, on a daily basis, the pages in which the Bolton Evening News continually praise Sam and his Premiership stars, but for what?

Two seasons in the top flight with nail-biting anxiety from mid-season onwards with continual talk of "will we survive?"

Good for the Bolton Evening News supporting its local team but, for crying out loud, stop making us sick and let's have some Bolton Evening News support for Bolton's real stars -- the doctors, nurses and staff of our Royal Bolton Hospital.

For the past three years I have been a regular out-patient at one of the hospital clinics, and my dear wife was also attending the same clinic for 18 months and was an inpatient on three occasions before her death two weeks ago.

For the two weeks before her death I was spending over eight hours each day at her bedside and I saw first hand the marvellous work the ward staff carried out. For over 12 months, during the course of her illness, the angels of the Rapid Response Team came on a very regular basis to our home, more or less weekly, to give my wife the necessary medical treatment.

We would have been helpless without this dedicated unit of the Royal Bolton Hospital.
