IF there was a glaring attribute which separated the men from the women at this year's Wimbledon it was muscles.

The women had loads of them. Female champ Serena Williams not only had an upper body that Lennox Lewis would have killed for, but the kind of over-developed legs not out of place on Linford Christie. Yesterday's female stars look decidedly tiny by comparison. And not just the women. If you get the chance to visit28 Wimbledon's excellent museum, the clothes on display worn by former stars like Chris Evert reveal a slender size 8 or 10 frame. Even Bjorn Borg was quite slight in his championship days. Mind you, if she asks, I never said Serena was a big lass.
