MORE than 2,000 people have enrolled to attend Commonwealth Games Business Club events. But organisers say: "There's still time to join in."

Bolton businessman Rod Sellers is deputy chairman of the club, an organisation based on the success of the one which operated in conjunction with the Sydney Olympics.

The Games, which run from July 25 to August 4, are being used as an opportunity to build lasting business links with national and international firms.

Most of the club events will be at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester -- including the official opening on Wednesday, July 24 -- but the others will include an information and communication technology conference at the Reebok Stadium on Thursday, July 25.

Peter Hogarth, international trade director for Trade Partners UK in the North-west, said: "North-west businesses will be able to make a wide range of contacts and discover many trading opportunities by taking part."

Bolton area businesses can join the club by logging on to www.nwbusinessclub.com HERE, or by contacting the Business Club team on 0161-877-3000.
