A MANCHESTER Airport firefighter is set to swap his hose for a microphone and step into the famous shoes of crooner Harry Connick Jnr.
Father-of-two Darren Meehan, aged 31, of Blackpool, will be appearing in Stars In Their Eyes to sing "It Had To Be You".
Darren, hooked on singing since a Blackpool karaoke night, said: "Luckily, I don't get nervous singing."
