TOWN hall workers look set to strike after their unions voted to take industrial action.
The three local government unions -- UNISON, TGWU and the GMB -- have rejected a pay offer of three per cent and are supporting a claim for six per cent.
Workers in Bolton are expected to join a national one day strike set for July 17, which will be the first national strike by the three unions since 1989.
The unions want a six per cent or £1,750 pay rise to bring the minimum wage in local government to £11,017 a year.
