THE life of murdered vice girl Danielle Moorcroft is to be depicted on a huge billboard by detectives hunting her killer.

Detectives are to site a 20ft by 10ft billboard on land only yards away from where the 21-year-old pregnant woman was found murdered.

It is the first time in Greater Manchester police have used a billboard to seek information.

It will overlook Bolton Community College in Lower Bridgeman Street near the car park where Danielle's battered body was discovered by another vice girl.

In addition to the billboard a poster will be displayed on a bus shelter outside Bolton College in Manchester Road.

Both will feature family snapshots of Danielle and emotive pleas for information. Detectives hope the campaign will encourage passing motorists, pedestrians or anyone with information to come forward.

Det Supt Patsy Wood, who is leading the murder hunt, said: "We are trying to get over to the public that Danielle was not just a prostitute, she was someone's daughter and was also five months pregnant. We are hoping the billboard and poster will help get that message across and that it will spur someone out there who knows Danielle's killer to find the courage to come forward."

Danielle's semi-naked body was found in bushes behind Bolton Community College at 5.40am on Saturday June 1 -- the weekend of the Queen's Golden Jubilee. She had suffered severe head injuries. Detectives also say her killer would have been heavily bloodstained.

"Information is coming in slowly. I can understand that some people do not want their friends and family to know they use prostitutes or frequent the same areas.

"But I cannot stress how important it is that we speak to anyone who may be able to help us catch the person who murdered Danielle."

She was last seen getting into a large dark car driven by a man between 1.00am and 1.30am on the slip road leading to Trinity Way Retail Park.

Detectives have appealed for the driver to come forward.

Det Supt Wood added: "We have no reason to believe he is involved with Danielle's death but he could have vital information."

They poster campaign is to be launched next week. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Castle Street Murder Incident Room in confidence on 0161 856 5961 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
