SIMON Walsh helped England Schools to victory in the international clash with Wales at Royal Birkdale.
The teenager, who came runner-up in the BGA final, lost his doubles games in the morning but despite the atrocious weather won his singles 6&4 to earn himself a place in the team to take on Wales in August.
England won the match 11-6.
