A SKILFUL Sharples outfit made sure DB3 had their hands full this week.

With only two goals between the teams at half-time, DB3 needed grit and determination in abundance to hold on to the lead.

Natalie Pearson was outstanding in an excellent team performance for Sharples, while Alison Thompson urged DB3 on from mid-court.

Meanwhile Tyldesley were busily running away with the match against Chorley Raiders scoring freely.

However, a spirited second half nearly saw an about turn in fortunes as the newly employed tactics of Raiders paid dividends. Emma Heap's accurate shots were enough to keep Tyldesley ahead with Raiders centre Nerys Aird on top form.
