HOSPITALS in the North-west are set for a staff and beds boost after receiving £403m of Government cash, health Minister John Hutton has announced.
St Helens and Knowsley will receive £228m to invest in four primary care resource centres, more beds and a diagnostic and treatment centre.
The Salford area will get £175m to aid a revamp at Hope Hospital.
