A BATTLE of Britain memorial flight display, featuring a Dakota, Spitfire and Hurricane, has taken place at the annual Mersey River Festival.
Up to 250,000 visitors also descended on the docks for the visit of more than 200 vessels as part of the show.
Britain's last remaining aircraft in the Korean War still flying, the Fairey Firefly, was on show on Saturday.
